I came home from church this morning to see Fe digging away in her laying bin. Unfortunately she saw me and stop digging, but I threw a blanket over her cage. I just peeked in on her and luckily all I could see was her rear end. It's been ~26 days since I noticed her colors change so I wasn't...
As has been said ditch the waterfall and coil UVB. Setup a dripper if you're worried about misting not being enough.
You NEED a way to accurately measure the temps and humidity. Walmart sells an Accurite digital gauge that has all you need (temp @ probe, temp @ base and humidity) for ~$13...
Why didn't you just have the breeder ship him on Friday for Saturday delivery? Sure it costs a bit more but it's a freaking live animal in the box not some glassware or something. Somebody needs to let him out into his new cage and give him a heavy misting when he arrives. I would not leave...
Pick-up some dry water crystals from Ryan Jarosek on the forums.

They are damn cheap!:D I still have quite a bit left of the 5 package deal and I bought when I first got Dante, last november.
Cage looks awesome!! But is there a bottom on it?? I'm guessing the pad lock is to keep unwanted humans out but what's the point if all someone has to is tip the cage over. Plus the risk of an animal digging under the frame to get at your cham. Not raggin on ya, just playing devil's...
Make sure the crickets aren't too big for her. They should be about the size of the space in between her eyes. If you just got her it might take a couple of days even a week or so for her to fully adjust to her new home.
I'd have to agree! I bought the deal with 4 packs when I first got Dante over 7 months ago and still have a ton. After I started a few roach colonies a couple of months ago the crystals have been going a lot faster. Great seller and great product!!
I use a 5.0 and a florescent plant bulb in my female's cage, seems to keep the temps ~82-84. The hibiscus in there is doing okay, there's new growth but its still adjusting...
Distance is going to depend on the desired basking temp. You need a way to accurately measure the basking temp and adjust the bulb's wattage and distance accordingly. But a real clamp light with a reflector might help focus the heat onto one spot thus allowing you to increase the distance...
Seriously spend the $$ on a MistKing, you'll thank yourself down the road. My attempt a my own mister turned into a dripper system lol... I love my MistKing and it's worth every cent!
Pothos grow like crazy and my female absolutely devours them. Just keep them well watered or even in straight water. I keep pothos, ficus, and hibiscus without a problem, I use plant florescent in addition the UVB. The misting system and drippers keep the relative humidity above 35%, so that...
Ya what's up with that you would think Lombardi was the first born or something!!...
Man he looks wicked cool... It's crazy how unique yet similar all of these brothers look. I need to get a digi cam so I can post up some new pics of Dante. Actually we just need to put together another...
It's not the bulb shattering that you should be worried about, glass would get inside the cage with a screened top. It's the cham burning him/herself on the bulbs that you want to be concerned about. Even getting too close to the UVB bulb can result in serious burns. Use the same screen to...
