Arcadia Lights are the Bomb

Four days later of swapping all my lights for the Arcadia Bulbs. My chams are singing me praises and having late night disco parties. Their colors look like they have went through a photo shop session they have a major appetite increase. There overall activity level is amazing now. Mercury phase is a thing of my past now that i have these Gems.

Todd was amazing and handled my over eccentric and compulsive question asking well. Very nice guy easy to work with shipped to my door in perfect condition. unpacking to some time but that's because he packs them well.

Awsome news! I literally just chose a mistking as a gift (its like getting socks for Christmas to him) but those will be next i keep hearing quite the buzz about em.
 
Man! i had a hell of a time searching for this post again! lol Didn't want to make another thread.

I wanted to ask you or any other members who use the arcadia lights if they're worth it.

I plan on buying some TODAY if they're that good lol.

I wanted to get the 24", getting ready to upgrade my little guy to his adult cage. Also what hood would you recommend?

yes yes i m also looking into getting these bulbs. i see that there are some fixtures that are able to handle two bulbs. are two bulbs better than one or is it overkill? I am probly going to order these next week so any information that anyone can give me would be great.:D

do you recommend the 6% or 12%???

Man, great questions! Glad this thread is getting bumped back up. Also noticed the Reptisun 5.0 UVB bulbs produce a 5% UVB, which is the recommended light for chams.

Pretty much i want to know the perfect set up with these lights for a sub-adult panther male.

Hey, the arcadia lights are awsome as is Todd
as for the questions
yes they are totally worth the money
Todd has fixtures that hold 2 bulbs, but it would be overkill to put 2 arcadia uvb bulbs in there, Todd acctually has them set up with one arcadia and one 6500k for the plants, witch is the way to go
If you have a solormeter and can measure and controll the uvb then the 12% are great if you do not have a meter, go with the 6% and be safe and happy.

I sent him an email earlier, but it's the weekend and i don't have patience lol.

but it sounds good! I'm excited to make an order!!!.

What light set up would you recommend? Trying to get everything in my budget right now. I want the 24" w/hood, plan on upgrading jaspers cage to the 2x2x4'.

I really like combining the arcadia t5ho bulbs, and the jungle dawn LED lights.
Todd may still repspond to your email over the weekend he lives this stuff, he may also anwser the phone, I deal over the phone with him.
If you are on a tight buget you could go for the dual t5ho fixture witht the 6500k and the 6% or just wait and add the LEDS or 6500 at another time. They really are more for the plants, UVB is where you want to put your money.

Alright...

I'm not really on a budget right now...But i'll just be in-between to see my options.

So far i've come down to the 22" hood w/ 22" ARCADIA D3 6% High Output Bulb (would this be too short for a 2'x2'x4' DIY Full Mesh enclosure? I can't find a 24" Combo)

Also can't find a dual hood for an extra bulb. I might go with the 6500k instead of the LED, If LED's are really that much better i could think about it.

Really wanna order this set up sometime this weekend while i have the mula haha
 
ok so i want to use the dual hood with the 6500k and the t5 ho bulb.

but i have already ordered 6500k leds so now my question would be..... is the leds and the t5 6500k overkill for the plants or should i just stick with the led's?

any input on this would be great.

I plan on placing an order for all 3 right now.

ALSO, i read the reviews and people say this hood can be used for vivariums/reptiles.
 
yup was just reading the reviews myself. seem pretty good. do u know if those legs come off so it will sit flat on top of a cage?

it will be a couple weeks before i get mine. (Rents due tomorrw) lol

Not sure, but i'm pretty sure they do...Or atleast a hacksaw would do the trick haha.

and i found that the legs do come off the hoods!!!

LOL, yeah he better because he's breaking my pockets!!!

I just want to get a few more okays with other members before i starting buying everything. Hopefully i picked out the right hood for the arcadia and 6500k bulb!
