Alright, I am STUMPED/worried/confused by this baby veiled...

Can some vet breeders or veileds please help me out here. I have this one baby Cham who was born last (14 days after the first one was born) and ever since he remains TINY, he has only grown a tiny tiny bit since he was born. Now I am confused by this. He does not have to compete for food...

ATTN: Owners of Dubia Roach hating [and loving] Chams...

This may sound really weird AND may also be a coincidence...but hear me out anyway and let us all know if you've had similar experiences. My male veiled when first introduced to dubias HATED them. He went after one but when he got it he started waving around acting like he was disgusted...

    Crickets VS Phoenix worms

Why forget about roaches? I was super creeped out by them at first like nightmares that the roach bin dumped over and they took over my house freaked out LOL. But then I got them and got used to them and now I can just grab a couple with my hand and put them in a cup to feed. No climbing...

    Question about veiled baby coloring

I find that my female veiled babies get stripes and patterns as they are walking around stalking prey or at various other times but my males pretty much stay their baby green. The females are all smaller than the males except for one super beefy female that is just as big as the males are...

Worried about Veiled babies... black spots?

Just make sure you search out the cheapest way to buy feeders before they hatch if you do have babies :) these little guys eat A TON, I think one of my babies (Hulk baby) would eat until he exploded if I'd let him!

Worried about Veiled babies... black spots?

I think they'll be okay Golden, it doesn't seem to phase them at all! They are eating like crazy and are super active. They are roaming around right up until it's lights out and then some! Oh boy how addicting they are! I love turning on the lights in the morning and seeing little sleepy...

Worried about Veiled babies... black spots?

Thanks Karen, will do :) If you have a female available I'd be interested...how can anyone pass up an Oozle baby?! How many babies did you hatch from their clutches? Didn't you have eggs in the 150+ range from her and Logan?

Worried about Veiled babies... black spots?

There are 7 together and they are 2 months old, the enclosure is large but then again they do (like you said) just barge all over each other! I'll try going to 4 housed together instead of 7 and see if that helps! There are so many leaves and branches/vines you'd think everyone could have...

Worried about Veiled babies... black spots?

They are pretty far from the basking light, it's warm here so I only have the basking light on a few times per day...mostly in the morning when it's a little cooler. I've done a skin test several times to make sure it's not hot (held my hand under the light several inches above the closest...

Worried about Veiled babies... black spots?

A few of my babies have little black spots on them, mostly on their heads, looks like some of their scales (scales?) have turned black. I'm wondering if this could be little scabs (see picture) from rubbing their heads on branches when they shed recently? Could my branches be too rough? Or is...

    Does it EVER stop?!?

I don't think it does...I too started with one. Then got another..and a third.. and now I have babies eating me out of house and home but I love it lol...I spend so much time watching them that my face actually started peeling and I'm convinced it was the UVB bulb lol...OOPS! Just can't help...

    veiled eggs

I agree on the liquid calcium if you can get some (or already have some) give her a little. In my veiled's clutch some eggs began going bad after a few weeks, looking dark and sunken in and some got a little white fuzz (mold) on them. But honestly some continued to fade in the first few months...

How many pinheads will a baby cham eat per day?

Hi, I have 8 veilds that I need to get pinheads for but I'm not sure how many each Cham should eat per day. They are one month old. Last time I got them a few weeks ago they wanted nothing to do with them so they've still been on fruit flies. I think they are ready to switch since I'm going...

    peach tree blossoms safe??

I wouldn't risk it either Many animals are affected by peach trees I wouldn't risk it...even goats with a supposedly iron stomach can't handle peach trees :( I checked out some safe plant lists for Chams and of the two I looked at they did not list peach trees as safe..another site listed that...

Anyone in the San Diego area want a free ficus?

I'm in San Diego (91902) and have a small ficus that needs a cham cage to live in :) I took this out of my Cham cage and now that it's not in bright lights it's slowly dropping leaves and not looking like it's usual full and cheery self :( Don't have use for it but don't want to just throw it...
