    Eyeball issue?

I had similar happen to my Panther. Turned out to be a two-fold issue. Vitamin A and a need for better misting/watering. Chameleons clean their eyes in the rain/heavy dew. Panthers in particular will flush their eyes periodically. If the humidity is too low or they can't get enough water...

Which Light Setup Should I Use?

I use a t-8 4 bulb 2ft x 18" fixture with 2 daylight bulbs and 2 5.0 reptisun t8s. I purchased the fixture from a greenhouse supply store along with the 2 daylight bulbs. I get the t-8 reptisuns from my LPS. The lights have worked very well for me for almost 4 years now. Of course I change...

    Eye problems?

What my vet told me to do was once per week take a vitamin A capsule and poke a hole in it. Put a tiny dab of the vitamin-A oil on the back of a cricket or other feeder insect and give that to the chameleon. Its pretty easy for me because all my chams will take food from my hand. Then he...

    Eye problems?

I have a male Nosy Be and whenever he has issues like that a dose of vitamin A seems to help. I also set the misting system to do several 1 hour runs throughout the day. Chams clean the eyes during heavy misting sessions however I have found that its usually a vitamin A issue that is the root...

Dubia Roaches Do No Seem to be Eating?

Try ensuring the temperature range is in the low to mid 80s, give them oranges, and make sure your container is clean. My colony is fed mainly Harrisons pelleted bird food with oranges for a water source. I also give them bananas infrequently. I agree that if you are finding dead roaches...

Look who's eating at the feeder cup?

They are awesome! I have had a bit of an issue with the magnet coming loose in one of the cups but a little hot glue fixed that. It could be due to my cham being a bit of a weirdo sometimes He gets right down to the bottom for the stubborn crickets...

Are these colors correct for a Nosy Be Panther?

how old is he? I've had 2 Nosy Be males and both are a very deep blue as adults. One was very blue as a small juvenile but the other didn't turn blue until quite later in his development.

what's you opinions on Climist vs Mistking? (timer specifically, and/or whole unit)

My Mistking timer quit around year 2 however this was a non-issue as I have a digital aquatics herpkeeper. My Mistking has been running (and running dry at times) since 2010. Once every month or so I clean out the tiny screens in the spray heads. I would say that is a pretty darn dependable...

    Misting System Advice

As a side note I was disappointed by the quality of the Aquazamp basic rain dome. The one I constructed ended up being a bit more sturdy and I made it out of a Rubbermaid shoebox. And even though I love Mist King products I'm not convinced the rain dome they offer would work well.
