We lost a baby :(

Well, it finally happened. The last egg that hatched (a week or so after all the others) was a little girl that was very weak and frail from the beginning. I tried everything I could to get her going, but she just never perked up. I couldn't get her to eat, only drink and then she stopped doing that too. Unfortunately, it was a very slow demise that took several days and I feel so awful. It was agonizing watching her and caring for her daily the best we could. She finally passed today and we buried her in the backyard. At least she's not suffering any more.

I know that not every single baby will survive, but it's still heartbreaking to lose even one of my precious babies. I'm so sad.

Just be glad knowing that you did everything you could and she is no longer in pain. There are many people who would not have put in the effort.

I'm so sorry that you lost one of the babies. I had baby veileds earlier this year and I know how sad I would have been if I'd lost one.

I am so sorry to hear that. I have 40 veiled babies now, and i would be heart broken if i lost any. So sorry
