Awesome. Thank you for the updates. I'll look into some arcadia's. I know I need to invest into a solar meter. Just haven't come up with a good excuse to buy one as they are extremely expensive. I need to do some research on those too. Thanks
I thought I read somewhere that people are now going to 10.0 UVB's instead of what I know to be the best of the reptisun 5.0. It's been a long time since I have been in the forums but and setting up 4 more enclosures and am due to replace the bulbs in the 4 enclosures I have now and get new...
To be honest with you Cital. I wouldn't do it. I have Sealed wooden enclosures however my Chams aren't walking on the wood. You have to figure they could potentially dig their nails into the sealant. Let the wood go south but, in the mean time look for natural branches. Cannot go wrong.
It is really up to you man. Whatever you like. I have come to the conclusion that when it comes to your babies. I say that because I treat mine like their my kids, it is all what you want and what you like. I have been thrown in so many differect directions with so many questions I bring up its...
Cital, As long as you treat the branches before use you will not have any issues. 2 of my enclosures with natural branches are almost 3 years old and have not had any issues with them at all. I just simply scraped all the bark off, let soak for a while, then put them in the oven. I used very...
Thanks. I was thinking about that. I have some great news. I just thought of the idea of closing the front door of the house. Well it worked. The lowest the humidity got was 54. I couldn't believe it with just closing the front door to the house.
They are extremely smart. And learn. Or shall I say tend to build trust. My panthers when I first got them they didn't want anything to do with me. Now when I open the enclosure either indoor or their outdoor one they will come from wherever they are at that time and walk on my hand. No...
Deer Hunter. I did 4 enclosures with wood. I have a build sheet in my profile look at post I started if you want ideas. It shows you how to do basic backgrounds, drainage, etc. You will just need to do your own measurements. As far as the wood. If you want to stain it by all means stain it with...

Every time I travel I look for reptile shops. Instead of rest stops it is reptile shops. My wife and I are actually moving from California to Virginia next march. Can you imagine the amount of reptile shops that are in that trip? Cannot wait. HA! It is always good to find something new. When I...
I am running 4- 48x24x24 homemade custom enclosures for all my boys. I have the back and one side solid and the other 2 sides and the top screened in. I have my mist king system running every 2-3 hours starting 1 hour after wake up call and ending 2 hours prior to bedtime (within 12 hour period...
Its about the same with one of mine. Except for him being mean. I handle him daily and some days he is really nice and calm and I actually compliment him on it. Seems like the second I do he starts hissing away and tries to bite. Like they know what they are doing. As far as the feeder cup have...
Has anyone used these screened enclosures before. I am planning on moving to cross country and my full sized enclosures for my Chams are WAY to big to simply put in my Truck or 5th wheel. I am looking for something like this size to fit in the cab of my truck during traveling and then easily...
Nicely done. It is always great to hear. One of my boys is a rescue from a guy who used him for straight breeding and just trying to make money off of him. He never got the proper lighting and it shows. I did the same thing. Put him in his new Super Enclosure and left him alone for a while. Well...
Super Worms are really easy to take care of. I hand feed all my boys with them and as stated just hold the head with the tip of your fingers. I have been doing it for a few years and not one issue. As far as hand feeding. They just have to get used to it. Maybe try a worm in your hand when it is...
