Do i have enough plant coverage, and please give me some tips for when i get my jacksons chameleon

Definitely seconding this Most nurseries will have hanging pots with pothos which are good, or a schefflera (umbrella plant) which i hear grow pretty quickly although you'll want one sized for the enclosure. It'll be great for cover and give many climbing branches

    Space requirements for Werneri?

Hi all, It's been several years since I posted to this forum but I still lurk and remember the good ole days when I had chameleons. I'm a college student at the moment though which means I can't really keep any, due to the completely unpredictable housing situations I'm in. Maybe one day when...

    Can veilds eat clementines?

I would say limit the citrus snacks to a small piece and don't feed it too often. You mentioned it being acidic and the chameleon's stomach might have issues with that. Just continue to feed a staple bug diet and keep the fruits to a treat thing.

    Is this habitat okay ?

As for foliage and climbing stuff it looks suitable at least for now. You should be able to get a mistking basic model for the same price or cheaper, I'm seeing monsoons listed on amazon for 160$ or so, you can definitely get a nicer misting system (mistking) for less, at least by what I remember.

    When superworms get too "super"

They can bite, but if you hand feed Chloe, you just grab them by the head, they are defenseless, the back end cannot bite or sting or anything. Maybe put them in a feeder cup and she should be fine. The worst that would happen is that they could try to bite her face and whip around, it does give...

Finally a new cham. Say hello!

This is my new male veiled. ChamEO adopted out Churchill at the reptile super show- so I got this boy from LLLReptile today. I just set up all the things in his cage, the ficus, his branches, the mister, lights, and the works. He already ate a hornworm and drank some water, is basking, and shot...

Need help after being out of the loop! (supplies)

I understand the complications that egg laying can have, but that's why I was thinking of adopting the female, cause the egg laying puts off a lot of people from buying females anyway. She might go to a home quicker if I adopt her rather than people looking at her and saying "nah, eggs". But I...

    Mr. Sassafras

Sadly my veiled never lived past this phase even when he was a couple years old. My advice though, is to get him onto your hands and when you DO, feed him. He will start to think of being out as a less negative thing and more of an "I'm going to be fed" thing.

Need help after being out of the loop! (supplies)

Oh, I'm also going to order a little dripper. It's 70oz and I had one before and loved it. With my misting schedule, it's a bit redundant, but I like having a dripper anyway. It's actually CHEAPER than other drippers ive seen. I have a homemade liter bottle dripper but it was very sensitive...

I'm currently looking at this http://www.lllreptile.com/products/3961-flukers-digital-thermometerhumidity-gauge worth it? I ordered my reptisun 5.0 18" bulb and 20" fixture already. So I have my lighting, and all I'll need to do is get a fixture from home depot for my light bulbs that I'll use...
