it seems like the ch. trioceros fuelleborni is not very common, so when i ask question to either a vet or a fellow chameleon owner they may not know much about his species little quirks, and i keep learning. I've had my guy for 2 years. 2 YEARS and his horns have never actully "shed" the vet...

Cage Type - Screen cage, 18" x 18" x 24"
Lighting - 60 watt house bulb for basking, zoomed reptisun 5.0 linear UVB.
Temperature - Basking temperature 80-83 F, bottom of the cage 70-75 F Overnight temps 70 F
Humidity - 45-60%
Placement - Bedroom, furthest corner. Quiet all the time...
Skin uses UVB to form previtamin D, which is then converted, through the function of several organs, into D3. This is how animals are able to manufacture their own D3. UV light also effects how things visually appear to lizards.
