Experiment: Blue bottle fly

Im trying to breed these for my chameleons. Ive never attempted to breed anything.

Right now I have a container (5x8x10) with 20 pupae.

I have a tuna can with half the tuna taken out, drained of fluid. I then put some cricket crack in there along with a liquid mixture of 50% canned milk and 50% sugar.

(Im guessing i dont need water due to the liquid milk, but if im wrong ill find out soon enough)

Once the flies lay eggs and die off im going to dump the tuna can contents with the larvae on the bottom of the container and then put some substrate over in the corner for the worms to pupate in.

Currently they're five hatched flies. So my project is under way!
