Hi,
I am thinking of getting a juvenile male Yemen and I am doing all I can to research around the topic to make sure I do everything right.
I am in the UK and I have seen Vivexotic Viva vivs advertised in various reptile shops. Are they any good? There is the small:

And the medium:

How long could a Yemen live in the small size (575mm x 490mm x 915mm (w x d x h))? I am a bit confused about viv size as some places say go for the biggest you can get but others say youngsters need a smaller viv?

My other question is where is best to put the viv? I have two options which are quiet my living room or the conservatory, the latter being the best in an ideal (human aesthetically pleasing) world but being in the UK, it gets below freezing in winter and really hot in summer so I wasn't sure if things like thermostats exist to regulate viv temps?

I have seen a few members using them. Never heard any negative reviews.

Get the biggest one they sell! There are two concerns with putting a small cham in a big enclosure: 1) falling 2) access to food

1) can be solved by filling the viv with plants to cushion any falls
2) can be solved by hand feeding, cup feeding, or just making sure the feeders are getting to the cham

Most people say to put the viv in a low traffic zone. I believe that chams adapt to their environment pretty well. All of my chams have lived in high traffic zones with no ill effects.

As for temps, this should be regulated by a heat lamp and the other light sources. This is very dependent upon what bulbs, # plants, etc. Vivs make temp regulation much easier.

Thanks. I've found what looks like a good breeder (even shows the logo for this site) and their set up includes a Reptibreeze and it may sound daft but is a mesh sided viv going to be too cold in the UK?

For temps, you can set up basking lights to adjust heat. Ambient room temp of 80° - 85°f. Sorry i am using us measurements. Nighttime lower temps of 55°f+ are ok. Actually preferred. For cage size, you can just partition off the bottom with a crate and plywood square or something. Open it up as he grows. Food needs to be easily found. If hand feeding then size really won't matter. Only if free ranging food, would i worry. For yemens, you really do need the largest size. Males need the 24" x 24" x 48" and females need at least the 18" x 18" x 36" reptibreeze. Good luck.
