New chameleon owner be gentle :)

mines called wiggy after a grumpy friend of mine 😂 tbh my guy is so chill hand feeds and if i need to move him just place a couple fingers under his head and he climbs right on not at all like some of the stores iv herd of veiled's being grumps maybe i got lucky and have to think of a new name 🤔
Wiggy is a nice name. If you change it, he might become grumpy. Lol. The floating branches are a good idea. With some vines in-between he'll get across. You'll figure it out. For me, I collected branches and let them speak to me where they should go. Yes I am the branch whisper 🤫

Just a quick shot of a well planted habitat , this is my Outside. 😊👌

It will take time but empty space is unusable for chameleons, remember they like being high
yea it will get there doing more daily after work with the free time i have he's already so much happier being out of the small enclosure so it can only get better from this point on for him :)

I used to love to work with wood but now my eyes don't do so good. Wish I could have got a chameleon 30 years ago but then I didn't have the time.

Another floating branch added about as Hight as i can go without him being able to reach the screen when he is older. Vines should be here tomorrow and my first day off work to go looking for larger plants, starting to come together now.

Just for reference top branch is between 8-10 inches (branch goes slightly up and down) away from screen looks further away in picture for some reason loves his new basking spot though.

photos attached, hoping to finish this on the weekend 🙏😂

Coming along nicely. He really likes being higher it looks like.
he really does now he can get to the pothos too he is sleeping in it as we speak 😅

don't suppose anyone know what the protocol for stuck shed is? he's had it stuck on his back for around 4 days now iv been keeping the humidity up for him but it don't seem to be helping, shedding aid maybe? but i thought they were dry shedders so not sure if that would work

Yes they are dry shredders shouldn't need to worry unless around tail of toes. Mine rubs on branches and vines to get it loose. If your day time humidity is around 30 to 40% should fall off just don't pull on it in case it's still attached would be painful. That would be a cute picture.

yea he has been non stop exploring today, in and out of that pothos all the time, you think i should put another big one in? or wait for my other pothos to grow? just thinking if i add more its going to be over run soon 😅 he has everything he needs now thanks to this forum (except maybe more hiding places) and im very grateful for all the awesome information that has been shared with me.

someone's trying to be sneaky 😂

That is definitely he sneaky face...what is he up to?

I would put another one in only because hiding places is a must like @Tkrd69 said. For their security and for getting out of the "sun". It will be a while before the plants fill out, and when they do you can take out the extra pothos and use it in a free range or put it anywhere really. They look great on their own.

I have one hanging on the porch I use for cuttings. As pothos grows you can wrap branches to direct where it goes. Growing down produces small leaves where going up makes big leaves😊
