Yes, I know, in your country there are much more species  It's warmer, especially in the south and that's what reptiles love

When I lived in Munich I didn't think there were any herps lol.
I spent 3 years missing them til we came to Ca.
I guess I didn't look hard enough on the Volksmarches which were great..
Nice pics..

Great photos, thanks for sharing with us. My dogs would have eaten the photo subjects given a chance.

Thanks Benny :)

Thanks for the pictures Benny :) I love the frogs and toads. I LOVE toads. My love for reptiles started as a young child collecting and keeping common toads in the midwestern part of the USA. Many fun hours were spent in a local slow running stream at a big park looking for toads. They are actually pretty fascinating.

Beautiful Lacerta, Benny! I kept Timon pater & Timon lepidus and they are by far the most interesting group of lizards apart from chameleons and varanids. I can't imagine seeing them in the wild!

Keep the photos coming!

Cheers,

Fabián

Good Stuff Benny!! I have been dying to get out and do some field herping.

Based on your awesome pics...I would assume that the dogs did not scare away any of your awesome finds. Do you have your dogs trained to sniff out cool little herps? ;)

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for all the nice comments:

@Catherine: I will search some more toads for you, we have here also a very rare species, Bufo calamita

@Fabián: I'll make some more pics this week, including agilis males which have a very nice coloration

@Joe: As I said before, I fix the leash up at a tree etc. so that they don't scare my "prey" ;) They are two big Huskeys who are just interested in animals with rabbit size or bigger :D

@Dustin: Very nice pics, you have much animals there which are famous in our hobby !
