I want to know if this is normal. I've had my veiled chameleon for 3 weeks [he's about 2 1/2 months old] and his poop was black with white tips all pretty solid, but now the black is still pretty solid but the white is completely runny.

have you fed him any worms like hornworms or silkworms?, it happens commonly with those and sudden change of diet

but other than that i do not know

I was told not to change his diet until he reaches 6 months. Right now he eats 8-10 small crickets a day.

does it look watery runny, or has excess mucous looking stuff, maybe he is well hydrated, is the runny urate still white?

The white part is still white but yeah it is pretty watery... I guess it looks pretty mucousy too. There's no color change though.

Oh and I'm pretty sure he is well hydrated. I mist his cage with a hand mister for a few minutes and then mist again when the leaves dry.

then i wouldnt worry too much, maybe just a bowel movement doing its job, just keep an eye on it, and as long everything else is fine, no worries

amazing how worried we get for any little thing:):p
