Possible bruising after blood work?

Hi all,

My cham went to the vets today for a blood test. When I opened his box on returning home I noticed that his tail seems to be discoloured. It appears to have darkened in colour quite a lot.

The vets are closed so I cannot ask the question now.

I suspect this could be a reaction to the blood sample. However, I have no idea where the blood was actually taken from.

He has had blood taken before twice and did not show any kind of reaction.

I also suspected a burn but I don't think it is a burn, and it is all the way round his tail. If he was burnt then it would just be from above or on one side where he has been basking.

I shall attach a few pics. Any second opinions would be appreciated.

Thanks

I remember reading somewhere that they take blood from the tail. They bruise really badly sometimes. Amy had a black and wierd coloured 'firework' shaped bruise when she had her meds injected. It looks horrendous but does fade over a few days. Why did he have bloods taken?
