New to the forum, diet question...

Hi All- I will be a new veiled owner sometime early this summer. I am currently (and have been for the last few weeks) gathering all of the information that I can find. Also working on its new enclosure. This forum has been a great help!
There are two things that I am coming across.
First, what is a ballpark quantity of insects that a veiled will need? I have read that younger veileds will consume/require a more frequent diet and this will level off in adulthood. I've found great information on what the insect diet should consist of and how it should be prepared, but not as much on what I should expect as far as consumption levels go.
Also, any suggestions on what veggies veileds seem to like? The encloser will contain a pothos and dracaena, but I was wondering what veggies people generally offer along with feeding.
Thanks in advance for the help and I'll post pictures and such as soon as everything is ready to go. Just want to make sure I do the necessary research and am prepared before hand. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum!

For a hatchling I usually feed it as much as it will eat in a couple of minutes at each feeding. As they get older I feed them every second day. You have to worry less about overfeeding a male than a female once they are several months old. By the time mine are adults I feed them about 10 adult crickets or the equivalent in other insects per feeding.

Veileds can be given dandelion greens, collards, kale, endive, escarole, mustard greens, slivers of carrot, squash, zucchini, sweet potato, sweet red pepper, etc. and a little bit of fruit (apple, pear, melon, berries). They will also eat the leaves of any plants in their cages...so make sure they are non-toxic and well washed (both sides of the leaves).

You need to learn about gutloading and supplementing, etc. too.
