Biggest suggestion is to do a lot of research. Give your cham some space the first few weeks and be patient. He may be stressed when put into his new home. Water is also important for jacksons and I recommend getting an automatic rain system.

Welcome!
I've found it helpful to enter any questions you have into google search and end it with "chameleon forums". Chances are someone has already asked and members on here have already answered. This has helped me tremendously since I've become a cham owner a couple of months back. Of course, the best thing to do is research as much as possible beforehand, which you've already done.
