I dont think he shedding, the spot is bright orange. Where it sould be green/yellow. hes a adult ambilobe

Where was it. Some times, when part of the skin is folded over, our if the chams leg is covering a spot on it's body, the patch of skin will show some very odd colors. When the skin is exposed again, it will go back to the normal coloration. I don't know why this happens, but it does.

Sounds like it was the beginnings of a burn. Make sure that he can't get too close to the light, sometimes before it creates a burn mark it will bleach out the skin making all the colors in that area very light.

If it's toward the top, near where he gets close to the light, it's probably a minor burn like what Chris said.
