My reptarium background *progress pics*

Guys- got a little issue now... some of the rocky parts that stick out (made from great stuff foam and carved to shape with a knife) are cracking- not around the foam edge but in the middle of each great stuff foam "rock". I saw the cracks when I put it in but did not think much of it. I am associating this with great stuff foam expanding/contracting due to the temps in the enclosure as opposed to being in the mid 60s in my basement... next step is to keep watching the cracks and if they get larger I am going to have to fill it with grout (color matched)... the cracks would not look so unnatural if the color in the cracks was the same as what I painted my background to be...

I read about this happening before... hopefully my 2nd background will not do do the same.

I have no experience with making backgrounds, but ive done some research on them. Could you paint in the cracks with some dark brown or grey to add contrast?
