She has a kinky tail from being forced off her branches at petsmart, but it's still a good pic

Just one problem... as I was doing this she decided to poop, and at closer look, I noticed some blood in it. She's acting okay, but I don't know if this is a big problem as in humans or a minor problem as in dogs and cats. I took a pic to show you what it looked like.

What kind of lights are you using?

as for the poop... I am not an expert.... it looks good and solid the way they should but that sorta looks like blood?

Maybe it's something she ate.

What do you feed her and how much? she looks a bit porky... and you don't want porky females.

She is between a year to two years old and only weighs 77 grams. She only eats 4-5 crickets and some bites of fruits and veggies every other day ( recently only cucumbers and mangos), so she definitely isn't eating too much. More like too little. I have an r-zilla small UVB hood with two 50 watt UVB bulbs:

and a heat lamp with a 60 watt basking bulb.

The light is your issue.

R-Zilla products have the wrong formula to in their lamps. They create UVC... UVC is used in water purification and sterilization... NOT something you want over an animal.

It would explain why she doesn't eat much and has her eyes shut.

Turn that lamp off, remove it, return it and in the mean time just place a normal household lamp in a clip light over her cage.

Then go out and buy a Zoo Med Reptisun 5.0 LINEAR TUBE lamp.

Corrction: I don't mean the light is the issue with her poop. It could be part of it, not really sure how... but as far as her lack of eating, the light would prolly affect her.

Edit: Check out the UV Guide website to learn all about the UV lighting we need to provide for chameleons.

Her eyes look really bad. You need to take that compact uvb out immediately and replace it with a linear bulb (Reptisun 5.0 are best)

There are a lot of studies that have shown compact uv bulbs cause blindness.

She was blind to begin with, she came like that, but I will change it as soon as possible. The box said UVB but I guess they don't know what they are talking about. Her eyes are actually MUCH better than they were, before they were both closed and sunken into her head, I thought they were gone. She had a bad double eye infection that is clearing up.

What have you been doing to treat her eye? Lots of showers? saline? Terramycin?

If she had bad eyes.. they got better... then they can only get even better after you change the light.

You can go a few days without the UVB lamp over her. Just use the heat lamp and maybe another light with a lower wattage lamp in it to give more light but not a lot of heat.

Did you ever use Terramycin on her? It is used for eye infections. Good stuff. Use twice a day until cleared up... "it takes the red out"

I have used it before at the first sign of something going wrong and it turned things around very fast. You can buy it from LLL Reptile.

She had baytril first, then some other one that I had to keep frozen and inject into her muscle, but neither of those worked so I decided to not use any more antibiotics and dripped warm water on her eyes daily, gave her lactated ringers injections daily, and gave her a lot of hibiscus which she loved. Also, she did not get any supplements before so I guessed that is why she got so bad.

She looks like she has eggs... not loaded with them... but she has a nice buldge going on. Has she ever laid? if she is as old as you said (1-2 years) she should be needing to lay soon. Have you ever put her into a laying bin with dirt? She may not be in good enough condition to make herself a hole... but I am wondering if she is going to need to lay eggs soon. Can you take her outside in direct sunlight? or is it getting a bit too chilly by your place this time of year? If you can put her in direct sunlight and the temps are in the mid 60s she'll bask and stay warm enough.... just don't leave her there alllll day. Just maybe do it on the weekend for a few hours.

It has been around 40 degrees here lately. I really hope she isn't gravid, she never goes to the bottom of her cage and I don't think she even knows where it is. I will put her on the bottom and see what she does. I have some kind of reptile soil stuff on the bottom, I can't remember what it is called, but it is pretty fluffy and easy to dig in so I hope if she does have eggs she knows what to do.

Also, if she does lay eggs, do I throw them out after? I'm not completely sure about how that works...

You can.... Females who have not been mated will produce eggs on her cycle. They may not be fertile, but still, she will cycle eggs. So if they are not fertile, after she lays, dig them up and throw them away. I am assuming she has never been with a male, so her cycle will be infertile. None fertile eggs are ussually smaller. Which might be why she doesn't look very gravid. fertile eggs are larger and create more of a 'marble bag' look around the back half of her body near her hind legs. Sorta like the pic you have in the above pic... but you'll see little bumps. I think she might be gravid, might even be why she isn't eat so much right now.

The dirt you are talking about might be peet moss. If you have a buck, fill it with peet moss and sand 60/40%. get it wet. You want it wet enough to keep its shape but not be muddy. Place her in the laying bin and let her poke around. She might just start digging or walk around for a while. If you do it.... don't stand around her where she can 'see' you. just leave her alone with a light above her (not too hot, don't wanna cook her) and don't walk around where you have her, she'll feel your foot steps, and not dig. Even though she can't see, she might dig just to unload her eggs, if she feels the need. If you check on her and she is just sitting in one spot she isn't ready... but I would try putting her in the bin once a week for a while.

Okay, I had a styrofoam cooler I was saving just in case so I put the soil in there, wet it down a bit so it was moist but not soggy, and I put her basking lamp over it so she can stay warm out of her cage and have light. I put her in my bedroom and closed the door, it is also sitting on my bed so she can't feel my footsteps as much. I hope this works, If she doesn't do much I will put her in there every few days like you said.

Do you think if everything goes okay and when her health gets to 100% she would be able to breed? I know it's a little soon lol but I was just wondering.
