Lights

yep it will work for sure, except I think reptile UV bulbs are T8, and the link you showed uses t12 bulbs, and be warned, the 10.0 bulb I tried was extremely blue and I hated the color but it was exo terra so i dont know about the zoomeds but the bluish tint of the bulb really didn't display the true colors of the animal at all.

the 5.0 bulbs are more white in color and give off a more natural light

Do not buy a 10.0
check the enclosures forum and read the entire thread including the links for the UVb info.
The 5.0 work very well and if you have a hood with a reflector the UV output
doing down onto your animal is doubled.
be careful when making your selection for your species.

Lamps that are for larger fixtures such as his are T12. I have a Home Depot fixture that is 36 inches long and uses T12 tubes. The unit I have does not have a reflector but I made one from aluminum foil.

oh ok so they make reptile bulbs in T12? didn't think they did...

I just checked zoomed's site and they don't even specify weather any of the bulbs are t8 or t12 ...unless I'm totally blind and I missed it

This is the same model that I use for my animals
You'll have to bend the wings down a little bit
if you plant to rest the unit down on top of the cage
vs hang it from some sort of support.

make sure you buy the 40W UV tube
I use a nice (cheap) bright full spectrum 40w light for the second socket
that helps with keeping the interior nicely lit and everyone happy.

I've been using the 5.0's linear UV tubes without a problem
the chrome reflector will double your UV output coming down
onto your animal - so be aware.
you can use the 10.0 if you like...
but you must make sure the distances are correct
to avoid possible injury (please see the UVb light thread).
