Stainless Steel Screen

Hi All,

I recently ordered this screen http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs...talogId=10053&productId=100659199&R=100659199 and then read about chams losing toes and toenails to screen.

I like to free-range the crickets in the enclosure to give the cham something to do while I'm at work. I don't really like the idea of cup feeding.

My plan is to make an enclosure with this screen that's either 4Wx2Dx4H or 3Wx2Dx4H for my baby Nose Be (when he's bigger).

I don't want to deal with lost toes etc. I usually never see the cham on the screen right now; usually he only goes for the screen when trying to escape me during cage cleaning/weighing.

Do any of you have experience with SS screens?

So I ended up with the mesh screen in my original post. It's very fine and I will be returning it.

I found this hardware cloth from Grainger that I think will meet my needs.. 1/4" and 0.031 wire thickness (23 gauge)

http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/ww...ch&Ntt=4LVE5&N=0&GlobalSearch=true&sst=subset

It's galvanized so it shouldn't rust. I'm hoping it's not sharp. According to this website http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/gauge-sheet-d_915.html, the wire is about 0.031 thickness and the mesh in my original post is around 0.018 thickness (very thin).

I'm planning to buy something like http://www.amazon.com/Krylon-K04296...-Ounce/dp/B003A07VBS/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top to spray the stainless mesh.

Anyone ever use this spray paint/know if it's safe?
