Okay so Im planning in june 1 about getting a veiled at a reptile show hopefully.
but Im going to make this cage
https://www.chameleonforums.com/my-methods-part-5-cheapest-cage-ever-egg-laying-bins-73717/
but for inside my house so im planning on using this wire
http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs...talogId=10053&productId=202024055&R=202024055
but for lights at the top im going to cut out the top lid
and should i put the wire that im getting fom home depot for the top for the lighting or would the coating on it melt.
and should i buy a roll of aluminum screen for the top.

I am unsure to weather it would melt or not, but I would have it covered for sure, with at least screen.

Will the hole be large enough for a UVB and a basking bulb?
Seems like it would be a tight fit :p

melting

well the melting temperature of that mesh is around 200c but it has been know to cause some dripping/running of the pvc at lower temperatures, if u have seen the black aluminum window/pet screen i would have a look at it, it has a very clean and nice look to it and would avoid the worries of it melting

thanks both of you. so should i just go for the aluminum screen for the top?
and yea it will fit the uvb is 18 inch and im going to make the enclosure about 20 or more inches in diameter

mesh

what i used was a hardwire mesh that they use to put tiles down its got much bigger gaps for more light to get through
