You only feed 4 small crickest a day? That is not enough! My 5 month old veieled gets a dozen smalls in his cage everyday unless he had an off day where he didnt want to eat much. Please Pleae fill out the entire help form so we can help you!
well uvb bulbs do not give off much heat at all(put your hand under it and see)so I am not sure as to why your chameleon would be gaping under the basking light. Again, can you find out exactly what you are using. For a basking bulb, you said it was a spiral. Is it just one of those regular spiral energy efficient housebulbs you are using or some other type of bulb for basking? .
get a different basking light, and a different uvb light you need these!
(LLL REPTILE carries it all IN STOCK) as for the last pic (basking bulb) all you need is a standard soft white 60 watt house bulb..make these changes its important to your cham.
they are good for general husbandry of most reptiles, chameleons are a very specific animal that i say is not for beginners and "require" studying on there needs before purchase, if you still have the boxes and receipts take them back get store credit and get what you need (they are good at most stuff there, but keep in mind , the employees there cant tell a male or female panther apart..)
you said you have a tube light? I am not seeing it? So the spiral light is the UVB and the other is the basking then? Confused!!! The spiral is your UVB from what I can see. Is he gaping under that or the other light. And the other light what is the wattage?
