Eating very much soil lately

Hi my yemen male has started to eat much soil.. why? I think i've heard that this also is a part of their diet? Am i wrong?

Stop her from eating the soil it could cause impaction, try to cover the soil up with some river rocks or something.

my veiled does this as well, i even use river rocks but she manages to find holes and occasionally eats a bit of dirt. Nobody really knows for sure why they do this but thats why its important to use fertilizer free organic soil.

What is your supplementation schedule?
I wouldn't worry too much about it, but you need to make sure you're providing calcium and vitamins ... she still may shoot at the soil from time to time.
