Chameleon Colors

I just got my 7 month old male ambilobe panther chameleon and was just wondering about his colors. I know that they don't get their full colors until after a year old but I was wondering when they are older are they like he is now where he is colorful sometime and brownish others or will he be colorful at almost all times? Just a little something I was wondering because i've never seen a dark full grown one and I am just excited about him growing up. Thanks.

Aww! He's still little! It looks like he has a lot of coloring up to do! He should become more colorful as he ages and he will probably remain colorful while at rest, it just won't be as colorful as when he is fired up.

You have a real cutie there. As he grows he will become more colorful and stay that way. He will have adult "at rest" colors and adult pissed off "fired up" colors. Don't worry, your boy is going to be a stunner!
