Are these receptive or gravid colors?

Daisy is about 8 months old and first showed her receptive colors 41 days ago (below). Since then, I’ve put in a lay bin (12Lx12Wx8H) with 50/50 soil sand mix) and have reduced her feeding and basking temperature.

And this is her as of today. Her spots are looking more yellow than bronze, but I still can't tell if this is her gravid or receptive coloration. Additionally, I think I can see an egg in the second photo below, just above her knee.

If she has been receptive for 41 days, she should be nearing the egg-laying process, right? This is my first time with a female veiled chameleon, so I'm a little confused here.

Hi. Once our little green girls develop their colors and patterns, they keep them for life. When she first developed them, I’ll guess that she was very active and restless, almost in constant motion. That is the receptive period of looking for a boy. Now her colors and patterns have settled, her activity should have calmed down as well. Usually when about to lay, the patterns and colors show darkening changes - some are subtle and some are obvious. Since this is her first time (and yours), it’s unknown what her gravid/about to lay appearance is. Keep your lay bin ready and check it every few days to make sure it’s consistently moist enough, especially in the lower part. I would tack up a light cover for the lower third or half of the enclosure, so that when she is feeling the urge to lay, she’ll feel safe in her bin.
Here’s my blog on our girls egg laying. https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs/veiled-chameleon-laying-101.2488/ It includes pics of the changes mine showed at different times of their phases.
