according to this brand new member on the mantidforum.net. he has idolo for sale. this species hasnt been around for a minute now, and i am curious to ask ppl on here who'v been wronged thru paypal, is there anything you should have done prior to paying the scumbag who ripped you off before paying them thru paypal? hope this makes sense, and please help. i really want to buy 12 of these, each of them cost 13 bucks. over night shipping added with this is a good 180.00. cant throw that away...

I just recieved frozen superworms, does that count? Fellow forum member had no bad intentions just didn't know how to pack them.

I have never had a problem with Pay Pal, even had a dispute and it was handled in a reasonable amount of time and I received my full refund. Easier then dealing with credit card companies in my opinion.

Point of me asking is, if this person doesn't want to refund me. Basically, gets my money... spends it... recieves my complaint... ignores it... gets an email from me... they make a new email and don't give it to me...etc..etc.. What can I do besides filing a dispute? Plus raising it to the next level? How does one get his/her money back with FORCE!!! hehe?

I believe that I have used paypal for every chameleon purchase that I have made and have never had any problems. I did have a dispute with someone on ebay that sold me a couple of bad uvb bulbs, but paypal resolved it and I received a full refund! I actually feel safer using paypal!!

I am asking this because there is a brand new forum member on the mantidforum. This person is offering a very rare species, the species that I've wanted since I started this hobby. Now that it appears to be available, I am very interested.

I have a friend in NY who just paid this guy, he even told me he took a big risk. Guess I'll wait and see if he even recieves a package...

Jessica, what would you have done if the person decided that he/she didn't want to refund your money? Besides filing a dispute... and doing the next thing but complaining again to paypal... Is there any way to prove this person ripped you off? What if you can prove that this person didn't even ship you a box?

I believe people through paypal can get away with murder, as long as they ship you something. If they don't ship you anything, I cant see how they could get away with it. But if they ship you a box of crap, atleast theres proof that they shipped you "something" lol...sh!t... I'll just wait it out!!! hope if this guy is foreal, he doesn't run out of them!!

Use a credit card through paypal...that way you will have both paypal and your card you can dispute with. Don't use a bank account...it will be much harder to get your money back if they spend it.
