My 10 months old panther is not getting much colour

Hello, I am a little worried about what is going on with my 10 month old tamatave male panther chameleon. I’ve got 1.1 from my local reputable breeder (Czech republic). The female is growing wonderfully and is probably even a bit bigger than the male. (They were supposed to be about the same...

Trioceros hoehnelii - keeping females together + photos of my male

Hello, I would like to ask wheter it is possible to keep two females together. I’m about to order new terrarium for the females and I would really love to play with plants in slightly bigger inclosure. The terrarium would be 60x40x70 cm (23x16x27 inch). If it is not possible to keep them...

Thanks all for responses. The wholeseler I've bought the male from agreed to take him back. I will look for another one. I don't want to risk having sick babies. I wouldn't even feel good about selling babies from related parrents. Thank you again!

    Chameleon tracking

Your best bet to find him is at night. Take some flash lights and search nearby trees and bushes. Sleeping chameleons are relatively easy to spot at night. They get really pale colors, so their skin contrasts with darker leaves.

    Related breeding

Hi, I found out, that I've bought two related ambanjas. They both have same dad but different mother. Is it dangerous to breed them? I've read that the first generation of babies from related parents is just ok, no deformities or sick babies whatsoever. And that it is when breeding brother and...

I think the little guy is sick

Oh, I'm sorry my fault! I'm not native speaker, so I miss understood what w/o meant. Anyway, I can't seem to find anything else, that would be wrong with the way you care about this little guy. He is really small. It may be parasites. But only vet can confirm that. Are both of his eyes closed or...

I think the little guy is sick

If he sleeps during day, something is not right. Chameleons never sleep during day. As I said already, it is likely caused by too much D3. The cage looks really nice though.

Hello im incubating eggs and have question about temps

I incubate mine at about 77. I'm not sure if 70 isn't too low for them. Definitely don't put heat pad under box with eggs. It will most likely overheat them. You can try giving the box with eggs into drawer and placing the heat pad few inches from it. I've done that several times with no issues...

Also, he is not dehydrated until you see a lot of orange instead of white on his fecals.

I think the little guy is sick

I think it might be caused by too much D3. D3 should not be fed to chams everyday. I give d3 to mine chameleons only 2-3 times a month (depending on how much time they spent outside on the sun). If your chameleon spends like 5 days out of 7 outside, you don't have to give D3 to him at all...

Took a turn for the worst need help:(

I honestly think it is lack of vitamins. The chameleon was not given proper vitamin supplements. Owner himself admitted, that he never gave his chams vitamins. Also great job with rescuing all the animals(y)! I checked your link, really amazing!!
