    long island reptile expo

White Plains is definitely larger and more diverse, but I still go to the LI show to see people I know and look around, and with the new larger location hopefully there will be more of a selection to browse.

    Tarantulas...

No problem. Most spiders are virtually foolproof; spray them down once/twice a week, feed crickets/roaches once a week, and make sure the enclosure you keep them in is of an appropriate size. That's basically it, there's really nothing to them. The only thing I would recommend researching is...

    Tarantulas...

Check out arachnoboards.com, lot of good information there. If you really want to get into spiders I can maybe get you some babies through a friend of mine, virtually all he keeps is spiders. The first time I went to his house I was in complete awe haha, he literally has walls of spiders.

    Red Ackie Monitors

A buddy of mine just got a few of these from the same guy. Good luck with them.

    Tarantula

I have a good friend who is one of the best known breeders in the US, though if he has babies of what you're looking for I'm not sure. Do you have a specific species in mind? I should also mention that he and myself are from Long Island, NY so if shipping is that much of an issue then maybe I...

    Stevie showing off. Smh.

You have to throw him a couple bills. He'll pick them up and get back to his usual business in no time.

Left the chameleon world for some garter snakes

These are beautiful, congratulations. Do they musk you at all? That's pretty much the only reason I'm not a huge fan of garters haha.

    Girl not doing well.

Answer the questions kinyongia asked, and then set up a vet appointment. The tropical mist spray is probably garbage, water is the most effective source of hydration. I don't know the ingredients to the other two, but it couldn't hurt to try. If she is eating anything, give her a good amount...

    A bad cham day...

Sorry to hear, hoping he will be ok. Veileds are so aggressive, it doesn't surprise me that this happened. Good on you for getting him to the vet as fast as you could, you may have saved his life.

    I'm a peacock!

I would kill for one of these, they are an incredible species. The only ones I've ever seen were WC and looking sickly. Good luck to those breeding!

    MY Chameleon IS MISSING

I was away for a couple of days, the whole time I had this thread in the back of my mind....was hoping for an update, how's the search going?

    MY Chameleon IS MISSING

^^^Listen to this guy. I'll say that a chameleon can move pretty quickly when it wants to, and in 20 minutes could easily escape view. I will agree that it doesn't sound like he got out of his cage on his own, but it couldn't hurt to look. For what it's worth, if you happen to find the...

    MY Chameleon IS MISSING

Aww geez Anna, I'm really sorry to hear about this. Some people suck farts so hard, I'm surprised they haven't passed out and learned not to keep sucking. You said you had the cops come, what did they do? I know this sounds a little CSI, and they probably wouldn't take the time, but dusting...

    Asian vines

I would love to keep one of these snakes, I think they are unique and absolutely beautiful....but I have a love for anoles haha, I don't think I'd be able to feed them off. Hell, I feel bad for feeding off mice to the snakes at work, I'm a bit of a pansy haha.

    Devastated. Kidney disease, please advise

I agree wholeheartedly, sometimes there is virtually nothing you can do. How old is she approximately? I lost my male Jackson to a similar fate, despite being hydrated constantly. He passed around a year and a half of age. My vet told me my boy had the highest uric acid content he'd ever...

    some nice pictures....

UUUUUGH Pfefferi too??? You know you're killing me....haha. I'll be on the look-out for those pairs, though I can't guarantee I'll have the funds at the time, and people love to snag things from under my nose haha. I swear, I think Cameroon species are the most amazing chameleons, and I...
