I wish he had been! I used to be a frequent visitor to the site and remembered the owners online name for the forum. So I saw your post, searched Chameleon76, and found it. Ironically, it was in a post I started called Panther vs. Veiled. Cheers, Jake

my chameleons colors are more vibrant when he sleeps than during the day.

If he's small, you could just put him in a brown paper lunch bag with some holes and a slightly damp paper towel on the bottom. :] Jake

My veiled is laying eggs right now! Whats next?

Haha I'm sorry, I totally skipped over were you mentioned they were infertile. I would give her a little more time with the light on to finish up, just to be safe. Sounds like you are on top of your game, and are doing a great job. Thanks, Jake

Anytime, It's good to ask questions. It does sound like all is well, I wouldn't worry about the vibrant night time colors. Jake

My veiled is laying eggs right now! Whats next?

Hey there, Congrats! The amount of time spent laying will depend on how many eggs she has in her. You'll want to give her plenty of time. After she's done you'll hear her shoveling dirt back on top of the clutch. After it's all done with you can remove her right away and see to it that...

my chameleons colors are more vibrant when he sleeps than during the day.

This is pretty normal for colors to be somewhat lighter or more vibrant at night when sleeping. Everything sounds right as far as your care. Usually people hold off on such a large cage until they're a little older, however, if he's eating and drinking then this shouldn't be an issue. Jake

    Locale of my new Cham?

Looks like a Sambava, although another picture would help. From the angles you gave, he looks to have the classic Sambava 'U' bar. -Jake
