Why are ambilobe chameleons less expensive than other Panther chameleons?

I myself have a nosy ankarea and was wondering why a nosy ankarea is more expensive than an ambilobe because ambilobe chameleons have more color?

Ankareas are a lot more rare to come across though. Can you post a picture of your guy? I would love to see.

I think it's based on how many there are in US. You have many ambilobes, so they are widely available and their price is lower.
