I just wondering if using tap water is okay for my Cham.or is there a method or something I can buy to put in the water. I would greatly appreciate some feedback

Thanks

No, you do not want to use tap water, Reverse osmosis IE filtered water or water bottles are the best. You can also buy packets that you can place inside the water to treat it before giving to your pet :)

I just have an under the sink filter and I use that plus I add some reptisafe as we have a high chlorine level. You can get a huge jug of reptisafe for cheap on amazon.

I didnt want to invest in an RO system as it was much more expensive and also wastes water.

What kind of packets? Or do you know if is safe to use the liquid that is use to put in fish tanks to sterilize the water.

Can I spray the plants when deep cleaning it with outdoor water? I usually take him out. Spray the cage and the plants once a week and put him back after few minutes.
Should I change this habbit as well? Thx

If you can drink the tap water safely , I don't see any reason why your Cham can't . All my animals and family drink our tap water.:)

Without knowing about the OP's water you really can't say this. The correct answer is "IT DEPENDS".

If the OP uses human-safe well water it could be fine to use. It might be mineral rich (which causes hard water stains).

If the OP's water is from a municipal source that is NOT chlorinated or floridated it could be fine to use.

If the water is chlorinated you would not want to use it before letting the water sit overnight in an open bucket to let the chlorine dissipate.

If the water is treated with fluoride or chloramines you would have to treat it with a herp water treatment chemical.

To maintain the cage humidity and allow your cham to drink enough you should be spraying it a lot more often than once a week. What's your cage humidity level?
