Dehydrated?

Hi! Was cleaning up Rangos enclosure and noticed a recent poop with some orange to it. I just want to make sure it’s a dehydrated poop. My dropper broke the other day so I’ve been doing an alternative method. And when he shows signs of looking for water I spray a bit to drip off a leaf.

That is fine. That is not an orange urate. If you want to have some fun, you will find that the orange is a jelly layer on top of the urate, its not orange urate. It the transition layer from the poop to the urate.

2/3 down the page it has the jelly poop and they real orange urate poop, pictures.
Oh okay thank you! That is good to know, it’s the first time he’s pooped that before.

Do you use just a dripper for hydration or do you mist too? For an easy diy dripper, you can poke a pin hole in the bottom of a plastic party type cup. You should still be misting for at least two minutes twice a day - right before lights go on and off. Plus, if your night temps are below at least 68-70, you can run a fogger at night and boost humidity as high as you can get.

That’s what I have set up now, I have a cup on top. I mist and fog twice a day, his nighttime humidity and temperature is great.
