SMALL bubble on side of mouth after chugging water

Hey guys! I was out of town for six days and I had my aunt watching my chameleon. I have a camera in there so I know she was doing everything she was supposed to do but my chameleon loves to come out and she would do it really quickly so she did not have him come out and hiss at her but today when I got home and I walked in to check on him it was first thing in the morning, and I noticed he was chugging water(I have automatic mister) and yes it was working the whole time because I can see how much water is left. When he saw me, he liked chug the water so quick and then came down to come out of the enclosure and I noticed bubbles on the corner of his mouth. I know this is a sign of respiratory infection, but I have noticed no popping wheezing or any other bubbles come from his mouth since then. I have a vet appointment for him tomorrow at 3:30, but with that being said, I’m a little stressed out about taking him to the vet because it’s 45 minutes away and I don’t wanna stress him out if I’m over worrying can someone please help me

I’m going to say to keep the vet appointment and make sure to take a fresh poo sample for parasite testing. Whether it is a respiratory infection or not, it’s possible that something else is going on as the reason for him chugging water. I would suggest getting some labs drawn if you can to check organ function too.
Regarding frothing after chugging water, I can only offer my own experience with this. My male veiled was wild caught and quite sick/near death when he came to me. I hand misted and he got his mouth to the end of the mister and basically chugged water. I tried to make it a slow drip for him, but he still appeared to aspirate and after drinking, had froth from his mouth. He did this every misting until he recovered. Freaked the crap out of me each time. He somehow never developed an RI from this, but I stayed on the alert until he stopped drinking like that.

Generally they should not be mouth breathing. This is what the bubbles are. The reason its a sign of a URI is they "cant" breath through their nose, and starts the foaming/popping/druelling.

But during intense activity they breath through the mouth the entire time. During prey kill and chewing, my beardies/tegu will even get bubbles coming out of their eyes as the chomp down.

Id monitor and update the vet a few hours before you go. If this is a one off, the vet may say just monitor for a few days. This seems better than spending about 2-3 hours in a box during the car ride/waiting room.
