Veiled Chameleon eating dirt from plant!!!!!!

Hi... I have noticed that my male 3 month old Veiled Chameleon was eating dirt but I caught him in time to stop him! I am aware that Veileds are notorious dirt eaters so what should I do to keep this from happening?!?!

Simple-Cover ever bit of dirt with rocks. Make the rocks big so your chameleon doesnt eat them. If you dont do this your chameleon canget inpacted with dirt which is not good and if he eats a rock..he can die
