super cheap drainage option

for everyone worried about drainage i have a cheap fix for you. i got these tubs at homedepot for 6bucks! i drilled a hole in the bottom and they catch water like a champ.

they have them at lowes and home depot but just go to where the cement mixing supplies are and you will find them.

Yep, these can work. Other options I have tried for my large cages include appliance drain pans (for a fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, water heater) and hydroponics flood table trays. The flood table trays are more expensive, but they are more rigid if you need something that can support more weight.

I bought some black plastic paint trays from the dollar store. $6 for 6 cages. They slide and fit nicely under the wire shelviung my cages are on. I probably have to empty them more often then you though.

UPDATE!
I bought a egg crate florsent light cover for 12 bucks making my total drainage setup still below the $25 mark. i think its awesome. this raised the cages out of the tubs and now everything dries faster.

tubs and egg crate light cover came from home depot. tubs are found by cement mixing stuff, light cover found beside the flimsy frosted florescent light covers
