My first baby came out of hims shell today!

I haven't seen the little guy open his eyes all the way yet, which is a little bit worrisome.

I am not a veiled expert but it does seem a little strange. How long is it since he/she hatched?

There could be issues than normal with this clutch since Dilly wasn't in the best health when she laid right? I mean I am hoping for the absolute best, but just want you to be aware.

I was definitely concerned about them, she was in pretty rough shape by the time she laid. Also the shells weren't as white as the vet and I wanted to see.

Only one baby so far, one didn't make it out of the shell. That really hurt my feelings! I think the little girl might be a preemie, but she's doing great. We're calling her Fahrenheit...

Even if she is a premie she looks rather well off... she may grow slower, we likely won't know if she has any actual issues until she's a bit bigger, but she looks healthy other than looking a bit small.... but god knows they all look tiny at that age
