My little girl has eggs according to the vet a huge bill for shots , xrays etc. am giving her calcium and vitamins but she refuses to eat. Put sand in the bottom should I put it in a box? Am having to give her water by syringe and am desperate enough to want to grind up cickets and fed the liquified. What do you think?
 
NO no no.. do not force feed.

Her stomach is pressed with eggs. Hence the reason why she will not eat.
She is due for egg laying.
put an opaque bucket filled with 12" of moist playsand mixed with soil in her cage. Give some branches leading out of the bucket so she can get in and out of the bucket freely. Dug couple of test holes.

The sand should be moist enough for her to make holes without collapsing (not wet).
And, let her dig. If she sees you while digging, she will completely abandon the laying site.
So, leave her alone. Give her a complete privacy. if you keep bugging her, she will not lay and will suffer from egg binding.. (although I am quite worried that she might already in one)

Whay are the signs of egg binding? Vet says to give her time. How much time I am suppose to give her she has been feeling poorly and not eating for a week. e are novice and guess we may lose this one. I put a bucket of sand in an hour ago and she is still in it and I am not letting her see me so I guess I pray as the vet says it is very expensive to operate and I spent 300 just to find it was femaleand pregnant, she is 6mos old and has not been around any other chams since she was 3 inches long. She is on meds twice a day and I am giving her water with a syringe which she readily drinks.

She's digging? if that is the case, then let her be.
She will come out when she's ready.
 
My female veiled didn't eat for a week before she laid. It is normal for them to stop eating before laying - the more eggs they have in them, the less room there is for food. Lily laid huge clutches and I still don't know how she found the energy to dig and lay them when she hadn't eaten for a week! The longest she ever went without eating was 10 days when she was receptive.

I gave her privacy and last night I gave her her calcium and some water by syringe. I do not see her digging but she spent hours in the bucket. This morning I warmed her up gave her calcium and water put her back in the dirt, She does look a little thinner, I hope, she still climbs on her own but still shows no interest in food. Is calcium and water enough right now? How can you tell if she has eggbinding?
 
It is very common for the females to not eat for a week. It is also common for them to have unfertile clutches. They sleep at night so not disturbing her at night won't cause her to lay. If she is in a room where people come in and out put a light covering over the screen and let her be! You will hear her as she starts to dig, but don't peek. The first time with a female is the worst for the "mommies and daddies" that own them.
 
How old is the chameleon? Can you post a recent picture of her please?
Has she been roaming the cage? Sleeping during the day? Did you see the x-rays?

Some signs of approaching need to lay eggs....roaming the cage, larger size in the back end of the body, possibly stopping eating (not always)...

Some signs of eggbinding...sitting low in the cage, sleeping during the day, eyes becoming sunken in, lethargy...may dig a hole and fill it in and TAMP IT DOWN without laying any eggs...

Saw the x rays she had lots of eggs. did not know she was a girl. She never roamed the cage just started not eating. Intrhe last two weeks she has not eaten more than three or four crickets. she is about five months old and has not been bred. When I took her to the vet he said eating was not good did test gave her shots sent her home with meds. I am worried she is eggbound and will die she shows no interest in diggin but stays in the sand for hours then comes out and climbs to the top she looks around a lot and does climb but refuses to eat. I am misting her well and giving her meds and water from a syringe. HOW LONG will she live in this condition I do not want her to suffer and our vets is the most expensive in the valley. ___She does not sit low in the cage SHE DOES NOT HAVE A BULGE AT THE BACK she sleeps some during the day and does seem lethargic. HOW LONG CAN SHE SURVIVE

Mine went 2 days before she passed. We tried everything to keep her alive and help her survive but she didn't make it. Mine didn't have gout though just MBD and a broken leg from the MBD
 
I know how worried you are. But, try not to bug her all the time.
Doing this actually cause her more harm than anything else.

Hunger Strike, Gout, and MBD (which are related to the fact that your cham is pregnant) should take second priority of your concern right now. Get the bucket inside her cage. Don't transport her in and out.
Gout actually can happen when female chameleon is pregnant.

Where the eggs round or oval in the x-ray?

I think she may have MBD too. If she is short of calcium then it might be playing a part in her not laying the eggs since calcium also plays a part in muscle contractions. Does she hold her body up off the branch when she walks? What specific brands of supplements are you using and how often for each?

You could try digging a hole for her and showing it to her.

You said she's on meds...what meds? Why is she on them?

If she's not digging and is lethargic then I would think she is heading towards eggbinding.
