Reptile show around my bday :)

So there's a reptile show in jersey April 6th and it's about an hour drive for me. My bday is the 25 th so I'm going with intention to buy myself a new pal for me and the girlfriend. My point is if I get a baby chameleon or a small one, what size cage should I start with. It'll prob be a veiled or panther.
Depending on the selection it may be something else. But I would like to know what size cage I should get for the little fellow so I can order it now and prep before I buy him/her
