Quick decline? Any suggestions?

I woke up thismorning and found my 4ish month old female veiled on the bottom of her enclosure. She is very weak, she's keeping her eyes open. Yesterday she didn't eat much, but before that everything seemed fine(I've only had her a week). I started her on reptiaid thismorning when I saw her like this and I am going to make a vet appointment asap.

Here's her set up.

16x16x30 screen cage
5.0 tube uv light
60w basking bulb (basking temp around 80)
Scheffelera in the cage
Been doing calcium with D3 3x a week w/o D3 the rest.
Misting 2-3x daily

I'll fill this out a little more in depth when I get to a comuter I am doing this on my phone. (I was late to work trying to get her to eat/drink)

I just want some opnions in what I may be doing wrong

She could be gravid (although I'm not sure they CAN be at 4mo..) wait for a senior member to pop up and give you some help.

Would be your best bet at this time until someone with experience can help you.

You have a wonderful chameleon vet there in Orlando. I would get her to him ASAP. He was open 1/2 today and will not be back until Monday. Dr. Alfonso: 407-295-7547 You can call now and see if he has an emergency number. Jann

I agree, A vet visit would help LOTS and the how to ask for help sheet.. I do not understand why she would all of a sudden be like this..

Thank you for the phone number I was having trouble locating it

What species? How fast has it developed? how big is it? Nature dosent always conform to our expectations, odd stuff happens. Whats she doing while shes down there?

She may have developed unfertile eggs (nobody told her shes too young) or it maybe a plethora of other things. Keep her confortable and hydrated till you get her to the vet.

What are the cage temperatures like? could be overheated? more info needed. see Boca Jan's thread.

My 4 month old recently had an episode where he stopped eating and sat at the bottom of the cage, entirely black w/ eyes open. It actually passed -- he started eating again the day I took him to the vet. I'm not sure if your girl is doing the same thing, but maybe she just has an upset stomach? But if she's weak... isn't that a possible sign of MBD?

Vet would be good, definitely.

I would get her to the vets ASAP since you are saying she is weak.

Can you post a picture of her please?

Is she pooping? Drinking?

Ditto the vet. Common consensus is that is a little heavy on the D3. More like 2-3 times a month! You can overdose and block calcium uptake in some respected opinions. Basking looks a bit low too. After you get back from the vet, invest 10 bucks in a digital humidity reader! makes life easier.

I was told by several people that when they are this young its ok to give them this much, as they get older tho thats when you do 2x a month (thats what i do wIth my big guy)

Unless im wrong.

supplement regimen varies.
I supply mine (that age) 2X a week (D3) with no ill-effect.
I do however very very very lightly dust the crix with D3.

When you dust, does the cricket change color?
