Seeing Dr. Alfonso will definitely be a good thing tomorrow. Goodluck.. I'll take a look at those pictures.
edit: Okay so looking at those pictures.. she seems like she is fine, a little skinny in the first, but plump in the second. Maybe something scared her or she fell?
I really dont know. I wish i did tho. She is walking around a little on her plant now. I put her under the UV light but now she is under her basking light. Holding herself up, no laying on the leaves like she was yesterday. At least she is mobile...
Instead of calling Dr. Alfonso tomorrow you may just want to be at his door when he opens. I think his email address in on his web site you could email and let him know you are coming. Jann www.kirkmanareavet.com
Well, i was offering water by hand today and she drank (in my opinion) a lot! Close to .75 ml (i was using a un-needled syringe). After the feeding she wandered all over me. At least she is active. She also "sneezed" after the watering? When watering i wasent forcing it i was just putting a drop on her nose and she was drinking it off.
Any significance to the sneeze?
Jann. I sent an email. should i wait for a reply or just show up regardless?
If mine were sick......I'd just show up when he opens. I have an email address for him: [email protected] Normally when I email at this address he'll email me right back. You can tell him I referred you if you'd like.......Jann Besok and my daughter and her boyfriend have lots of chams and have been going to him for a long time. Hope that she'll be ok. Jann
probably trying to clear her nostrils of water, try to avoid dripping in the nostrils, you may lose of alot of water but just over the front or side of the mouth might be better.
The lips carrie water to the mouth, it runs down the casque (dew/rain). Ofcourse they actively drink themselves but this is another survival mechanism.
I know people on here may not like this, but i didnt take her to the vet.
I work up this morning, turned on their lights little early, and misted them. She drank readily, which is something she hasent done since she started acting funny. I let fer lick some more water up off the leaves and she at about 8 crickets. I offered a hornworm and she ate that too.
Im keeping a close eye on her and if i notice anything funny i will taker her. I have a feeling that the Reptiaid helped her.
I really see no point in taking her to the vet if the symptoms that were worrying me are no longer their.
I'm glad that she's doing better!!!! When you can, you still should take your guys in (you have 2 don't you?) and get a check up and have fecals done......VERY IMPORTANT and build a relationship with the vet so he will be there for you when and if you need him again.
I plan on making an appt soon when I have less going on. I'm a substitute teacher and for the past week and next I am having to drive an hour or so for work. So next school holiday...
Everything appears to be back to normal for her, shes eating 12+ crickets a day...and has gone from 8 grams (when she wasent eating/drinking) up to about 14 (that was taken yesterday)...
shes getting ready for another shed and all seems well.
