Questions on branches

Is there a list of safe branches on the site somewhere? Could anyone reassure me that after washing and baking these branches I'm using will be ok? They are from a twisted willow, really gnarly should provide tons of pathways for my new babies coming in Tuesday. Also, are redbuds, regular weeping willow, Bradford pears safe to use after treating them? Does anyone have experience using branches from these kinds of trees? I can get better pictures if this one and common names aren't good enough. Thanks guys and gals.

Yea they should be. I believe that only sappy tree branches should be avoided, mainly because they are messy and awful to clean and because some are harmful to reptiles. But I believe that all of those should be fine to use.

I'm actually jealous, I'm looking for branches for my cages and I don't have any wood nearby that's as nice looking at that willow.

My only "tip" on branches, is to pull fresh ones off of trees.

The ones I have found lying around have had critters in them some times.

I just yank them off, and giving them a hosing down, and pop them in.

Just recently cut this tree down out of the front yard, but it's still green on the inside. If you guys want to pay for shipping I will send you some branches. It reminds me of manzanita but much more flexible even after I baked it.

wash them with vinegar and water and then bake them at 350 for 15 mins or so just keep an eye on them , make sure u wet them down good with the vinegar water mix

if i just wash the branches with water and soap and after that i use medicinal alcohol is this enough ? or i really need to bake them?

Alcohol and water won't kill anything on the inside, that's why most people feel it is necessary. Some don't do much other than wash them really.

Aww shit I couldn't wait to show off my latest setups. I love cage decorating. 4 month old female Ambilobe will go here.

Probably going to add another small piece of that gnarly willow here, cage floor is raised for a 2.5 month male Ambilobe.
