punished tail

hi, my chameleon punished his tail when he tried to open door , i had no idea that he is so strong
and i dont have in my country a good vet with knowledge about reptiles,
it have 4 months , 4-5 days I anoint with a regenerating solution for humane but i read in some forums to use it if he punished ,
so i dont know what next the black dry tail is steal not fallen,
any suggestion ? maybe to go to vet and tell him to amputate the back dry tail?

If it dry gangrenes you are fine. It will just dry up in a few weeks and fall off on its own.

If it gets red/swells around the dead/live spot, then you are in trouble because its infected or is wet gangrene.


Based on the last 2 pictures, its perfect. It should dry up and fall off on its own.

Are you sure he/she is a male? Good thing the tail tip fell off!

Blue spots and small casque lead me to think that is a female. Does the chameleon have spurs or a bump on the back of the rear feet?

Tail looks to be healing normally.

yes it have spurs i checked , and also when i bought i was asking for male
