poop with no urates

Hi there! Irwan poops............alot, but sometimes, especially lately there is no urate to it. It is just the brown piece. I mist him for about 1.5 hours a day (intervals). The white part is the urine , but he is drinking quite a bit. Any ideas on why? Are the crix eating it? I have some poopy with uratesd on my pothos but not all the time.

maybe it's just breaking appart it when falls... sometimes the pieces 'disconnect' and maybe your just not spotting it

As gross as it is, crickets do often go for the poop and urates. Be sure to remove any uneaten feeders to prevent them from eating the poop and then being eaten by your chameleon. This can be especially harmful if your chameleon has parasites as it can make the parasite load even heavier.

absence of urate is not as concerning as discoloured urate

its concerning when it is dark yellow or brown.. precurser to kidney failure

It could be a problem with the kidneys that has stopped/slowed the production of urates/urine such as nephritis. Perhaps he should have a visit to the vets?
