so im upgrading my meller into a nicer area, she has a lot of fake plants in her cage, has been in there since i got her and all she has is a fiscus tree, so im upgrading her cage by taking all the fake plants out and putting in real plants, what are the best plants that have worked for you? i may be a animal person but i know nothing about plants! so what has worked for you guys? i have noticed her trying to eat the fake plants too another reason why im taking them out so, its possible she will try to eat them.

The best for indoor enclosures for me have been Ficus, Dracena, and all the palm bushes, tropical bamboo and Pothos, Passion Flower (last two create endless amount of vines for the cham to climb along). I always felt that Hibiscus is more of a troublemaker. Needs to be replaced quite often as it doesn't cope too well with the indoor lighting. Even Schefflera can be difficult as it is actually a semi tropical plant only and doesn't handle constant water too well.

thanks that helps a lot! what about lilac? i bought one today for my meller and i got her palm and fern and draconea ha and she has a fiscus tree

lilac is safe and great too, as it is pretty hardy when it comes to different climatic conditions. More visual but not really good for climbing for your meller. I am not so sure if it needs a 'dry season' though.

my meller has lots and lots of thick sticks to climb im just trying to bring more life into her cage ha finding a tree that will hold her weight is almost impossible ha

If you're looking to add some color, I use all kinds of coleus, along with croton, zebra plants, and impatiens. Also small fig trees - will give you figs, but not really any color! Same with grapes. I don't know what your lighting is like, but some of these may do well for you. They've all done well for me under grow lights.
