Just upgraded my girl into her forever home as she was in a hybrid cage before but was on the smaller side, she has outgrown that and now she's in a much taller cage, is my husbandry correct? I have a linear T5 lamp, basking lamp that's 10" from the bulb to her basking branch, she has a fog machine at the bottom of her enclosure which is only ran overnight for a few hours, currently the daytime humidity is sitting at 30%, but what I will have difficulties with is the overnight humidity which I started wrapping but got frustrated with the wrap so I'm looking for an alternative to keep those nighttime humidity levels where they should be. Thank you for your input.

You can always turn this into a makeshift hybrid by getting pvc panels for three sides. Theres plenty of guides to do this.

I can’t run a mesh cage in my house in the months I need my furnace, it just dries the air out so much that even with a hybrid I need to run at least 2 minutes of daytime mist to keep humidity around 35-40%

Side note: what uvb fixture/bulb are you running?

Makes sense, currently her humidity is at 30% daytime. I'm currently using a T5 linear UVB reptisun lamp, and then my basking bulb is just a regular basking lamp that measures 85-90°C

looks like you have a female veiled?

30% is the lower threshold of daytime humidity targets, as for the evening without changing hydration inputs (misting, fogging) your best bet is to add PVC sides

If you do want a small bump it doesn’t have to be anything massive. You may be able to achieve better humidity buffers by adding more thermal mass (plant cover) rather than increasing misting intervals

But yes, my 2 cents is if mesh isn’t keeping humidity in enough and you’re in a cold dry area (Canada right?) something like this is the answer.

Other small side note: your Cham would love some more climbing opportunities :)

What you have is a good start but if you want more options for branching your cage I’d recommend dragon ledges

They allow for you to mount things effectively on the sides of your cage plants and branches, I added a picture of my setup as an example

I do have a female veiled that currently finished her 4th shed.

I will go and get some PVC siding and since I'm in Canada as we all know the climate is terrible but I haven't had any issues with the humidity and temps until the upgrade of the fully meshed cage, I do have a lot more plants but the last ones died in the previous enclosure but at least watering them will be a lot easier since I can see what I'm doing. Where would you recommend I put other plants on? I refuse to use artificial, although she's never eaten the plants I just don't want to risk it.

That’s good

At a glance you don’t need major revisions that I can see

These are all just suggestions
Thank you!

I really appreciate your feedback on my setup, took me sometime to go from not knowing anything and doing my research day in and day out and now she can thrive in her new home, but I really do appreciate the suggestions so I can give her the life she truly deserves!

It’s good to not have to act out of urgency and have time to premeditate changes.

As long as you’re within acceptable ranges for humidity and temps and your animal isnt showing stress behaviors you can premeditate what you want to do and execute it with minimal disruptions

To be honest when I brought her home the first time I stressed her out on accident so I learned quickly to respect her and her space, but now she remains her relaxed been color although she hasn't shown any other colors yet since I believe she's still young but it's only a matter of time, but I agree as long as my temps and humidity are controlled then she'll be fine, I order PVC for the sides and back and will install them tonight just before I send her to bed
