Panther with Pica

This is the strangest thing I've ever seen.

My juvenile Nosy Be is chewing on the metal rim of his screen cage. I've seen him several times climb down the screen to where there is an edge and just chew on the metal. Later this evening while watching a surveillance video I observed him walk over to a silk leaf and jus start chewing on it.

Has anyone ever had a Panther cham do anything like this?

yes, you are not alone! sometimes they will chew on things and I am not sure anyone can give you the reason why. My one guy used to chew on the tail of a fake toucan I had hanging out on my patio. It was made out of plastic and he never got to eat any of actually thank god. It was weird to see him doing it though!

Sometimes critters chew on things to relieve an achy tooth or jaw muscle. Any odd-looking teeth that you can see?
