Hi all,
I was just about to put a laying bin in for my panther and I seen the 6 inch plant pot with a plant in had been dug up (shock lol)
So I took the plant out the cage an started to dig it up,
An to my amazement she had dug down only about 5 inches ( the pot is 6 inched deep and 6 wide) and managed to dig past plant roots and laid 40 eggs in the center of the pot in the middle of the roots
As you can see in the pic she carved a bit in the middle
The last clutch was laid 12 inches deep in the proper laying bin.
It was really tough for even me to dig the eggs up never mind the Cham doing it lol
Oh well 40 eggs is not bad is it,
They are fertile has she was mated a good few months back.
She must have liked the security of the roots for added protection plus they were really shallow and the pot was not filled to the top so you could say about 4 inches under the surface but very very tough to dig up.
