Newborn Jackson's Chameleons

    Last week, a female Jackson's at our Oceanside store started giving birth while I happened to be there. Here's some pics of the birth, and the babies afterwards!

    And a shot of one of the babies snagging a hydeii fruit fly... There were a total of 13 in all, 12 of them living at our Menifee location, and the 13th (born after I left with the first 12) with a staff member until it gets bigger. Super neat process to experience!

    Awesome ch jacksons. Cool pics too. Wish I could have seen the birthing process ive always wanted to witness a chameleon giving birth to live offspring. Must be cool as hell to watch.....;)

    Awesome pics. I like how she just deposited them on the side of the cage like a weird pod!

    That's what I noticed first - "Ewwww that is some really, really gross looking poop... Wait a second, it's moving... OH ITS BABIES!" And then we found them on the floor, on the branches, on the top of the cage...
