New to chameleons

That's awesome, you're killing it, my friend!

I just had to buy an air conditioner for the chams this weekend... Which is completely absurd to have to pay to be cold in Canada. 🤣 Trying to keep my ambitant temperature around 19c/66f in the day with a drop to 15c/59f at night... When we keep the females constantly at this temp, along with reducing feeding at 6 months it helps stop egg production.

Littlefoot's (below) is almost 18 months old now, hasn't laid eggs, and is super healthy with the help of this forum chamily.

Keep us updated!

Also Marge is now basking right under her grow lamp. Is this normal? I’m concerned she could get heat burns on her back. Like her head is touching the screen. I don’t k no w what to do.

Although not ideal. Grow lights can be used as a heat source or basking light. You have got to treat them as a normal basking light and give space from between the basking light and branch to prevent burns, as stated earlier. I have used grow lights as a basking light a couple of times without issues. If you have got a choice though choose a light made for basking.
